thumbing through some datavis books in borders recently… came across a very nifty image (recreated here) that served as an interesting reminder. i’m extremely sensitive to type weight… looking at arial rendered on opera vs. ie vs. firefox can be overwhelming at times. but someone not so sensitive, that is, the people who we design for generally only make three weight distinctions: a light, a regular and a heavy.
