SMBC, so tru
indeed.
i “modified” my barbie dolls, including chopping off hair, destroying clothes, making new clothes, making them have sex with ken and g.i. joe and then getting utterly bored with them.
other than that, i was lucky enough to have weekly trips to the craft store, computer store and home depot with my dad. literally every week, two out of those three places were hit. and then wild crafting or educational gaming ensued. (go parents<3)
oh! and i had mad legos. but my dad was kind of really into them too, so there were the normal-colored legos in one bin (his), and then a huge bucket of girly colored legos (mine) which were 100x more fun because they were in awesome colors. the reason for the separation was he liked to build things proper, and 6 year old me was having NONE of that, so i would ultimately end up destroying his legos.
yep, my childhood rocked. except the whole going to school and having people make fun of you part. but i was far too concerned with making things and learning things to let that do any serious damage. haters gonna hate, etc. (and that’s a story for another day)
