i have picked up so many neat skills through my adventures as an art student, but since as far back as high school i’ve always found academic papers to be detrimental to my ability to write.

i usually end up writing the essay as i’d like it to be, and then going in between the paragraphs and expanding with fluff until the word count has been fulfilled. i never, ever want to show my academic writing for this reason.

also, it is really hard not to repeatedly refer to the physical impossibility of death in the mind of someone living as simply “shark in a tank” while writing about it.
