finally got my wacom mapped to sketchbook pro. normally, the small buttons are set to brush size up/down, and the touchstrip to switch between brush and eraser (but that is for photoshop, a post to come later)
these changes are interesting, having brush size combined in one is handy but less precise. the toggle is still a bit strange but seems to be fine so far. the auto-zoom is handy as well but it’s very difficult to get to 100% without using the keyboard shortcut.
interesting piece of software. the interface is meant to complement a stylus and drawing tablet and it really took some getting used to. it’s starting to grow on me. the line quality, however, is superb and rivals that of sai paint tool (windows only)
i’ve been using it to start my drawings, but have still been finishing them in photoshop. i think partly because layer manipulation (just managing and naming) is easier to handle and i can work faster. but that may change!
