so i’m walking home yesterday, and i see this little guy sitting on the sidewalk. and i walk pretty close to him and he doesn’t move out of the way, which is very strange behavior for a bird. so i kneeled down next to him and tried to give him some lettuce from a salad i was taking home, but he was uninterested.
i felt pretty awful just leaving him there, so i got some napkins and picked him up to take him off the sidewalk, lest someone kick the poor guy over. as soon as i brought him over to a safer place, he hopped out of the napkin and started jumping around and twittering. i hope he’s still doing okay :)
