moderation asked: How do you come up with your ideas for your drawings?

every different way that i can. sometimes i start with a constraint or a random word, and let the details happen while i work it out. sometimes i let the medium influence what i draw (pencil makes me want to draw figures/faces, ink makes me want to draw letters) or command myself to draw an object that i really don’t want to draw. sometimes i have a weird emotion and have to try to draw it out.

i guess it’s actually very rare that i have a specific idea in my head and focus on just executing it. that’s more illustration, to me. the majority of my fun is figuring it out as it happens. i’m really lax and sometimes messy with drawing, it’s something i do purely for enjoyment and partly because there is this constant need in me to put things on paper. but mostly for the enjoyment.
