crocheted pocket scarf

finally finished my pocket scarf! i love it. the pockets are super deep and the scarf itself is like, windproof. the only thing i’d do differently next time is use a lighter yarn for the pockets, because they are a touch on the heavy side.

if you want to make a pocket scarf, there are two ways to do it that are absurdly easy:
- crochet a REALLY long rectangle. how long? as long as you want your scarf to be, plus the length of your two pockets. when you’re all done, fold up the ends a little bit and sew the edges.
- if you want a more structured look or want to use different texture yarns, crochet your scarf in 3 separate pieces. a long rectangle for the scarf, and two short ones for the pockets (make sure you widths are the same!)
- make tons of these little guys and sew them on! the link contains a simple pattern for both flowers and leaves.
in slightly related news, i now own thelittlebee.com and will soon be setting up shop somewhere :D haven’t decided if i’m gonna handle it through etsy or just code the damn thing up myself.
