how to:
(requires two nail polish colors and stripe polish)
- do a base coat in your bottom color.
- do one more coat above that, but don’t worry about the tips. just let your strokes feather out to the edge of the nail. (this is so the whole nail is more even, and not so tip-heavy with the paint)
- take your tip color and working from the middle to tip, make short brush strokes to fill in your tips. the edges should be fairly even, but by all means don’t have to be neat. (we’ll fix that later)
- take your striping polish and make two strokes per nail, each one coming in from the side and ending at the middle. go slow, this is the most important part. for the photo above, i used plain black and then a glittery black on top.
notes about stripe polish: i linked two different kinds of stripe polish above, because they are both very different. the stripe rite is much more opaque and has a thinner brush- so i’d recommend getting your white and black in that brand. the art deco ones have way cooler colors but are less opaque and have a slightly thicker brush.
