ready for more of this? i wrote two verizon execs, and they hooked me up with some executive tech support. it was pretty sweet. i had this lady calling me, and this dude, they escalated my case and finally got my account canceled. then they made me a new account, and told me i’d have service in two days! awesome, right?
no. not at all.
i got an account cancellation email the very same day. after trying not to cry, and a few days of everyone on my case being confused, i was told that while verizon was taking 3 weeks to fix my shit, all of the slots in my apartment building filled up! i literally had an executive tech support person, from verizon, call me and tell me that they could no longer give me DSL service, my slot was not reserved, and to “find another ISP”. some other people on the case agreed that this was insane and ridiculous but still can’t tell me as of today whether verizon will be able to give me DSL service. that’s some shit. the normal tech support people weren’t even nice about it, they were just like “sucks for your account, can’t help you. bye”
anyway, i just called optimum and they said they fixed my box already and can reschedule my installation. so game on, once again, for me having a fucking shitty internet connection. we’ll see how it goes this friday…
