ridiculous shit

i still do not have an internet connection in my home. verizon took a solid two weeks to figure out that they had assigned me the wrong data line number, which required my account to be shut down and reopened. the cancellation took a week and was STILL pending when i left off with them, so i told them to let the cancellation run through and not to contact me again.

i called optimum. they said they would give me internet a week from the day i called. a tech came to my house, late, that day and discovered the lockbox (?) was broken. he said a tech would come fix it the next day and i could call and reschedule my installation appointment.

when i called, they said that the construction company was seeing to it at that time and i would receive a call back shortly. no call. called the next day, and they said dispatch would call me with info right after i hung up the phone. no call. ever.

i called today and was finally told that the construction company would take 7-10 business days (ahem, two weeks) and that would be before i could even make an installation appointment.

i called verizon back, to see if i could get them to make me a new account since i have been holding their modem hostage. guess what? a week and a half later, my account cancellation is still pending! what the fuck is that!

the best part is these are my only two options for the area! hooray!
