Albert Einstein [via obsessivecompulsive + willw2]
yes. in public school, i was way more concerned with the things i was making and doing and learning. i did not (and still don’t) have a large database of celebrity, tv show or movie information. these things are just not that important in my life. i could put effort into knowing who these people are, but honestly, i don’t really care. acting is not my thing, and it only impresses me so much. i would much rather know of great artists and crafters and designers- do i really need to justify why?
i still get shit for it these days, and i’m like- really? i can make wearable items out of a piece of string and a hook, i can type words in a way that makes websites exist, and you are going to try and make me feel stupid because i don’t know that actor who was in all those famous movies? welp, i might as well just give up living now.
